I am a middle school teacher with 18 years experience teaching shop/STEM. While my priority is classroom teaching, I'm also interested in technical support, training, and media production. I have extensive experience teaching about the design process, problem solving, programing, robotics, media production, CAD, and 3D printing. Many of the projects my students created involved using technology, usually software or a resource on a computer. I routinely presented tutorials using a projector and produced tutorial videos that were published in a Learning Management System.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have led numerous professional development sessions in my district and at MACUL. I have assisted with updating the school’s website and coordinated the yearbook for 6 years.
For my contributions to our learning community, I have been recognized by the Howell School Board on several occasions. I am proud to have been recognized by both Microsoft and State Superintendent Mike Flanagan for collaborative projects.
2002 to 2020 I taught Applied Technology and STEM at Parker Middle School. Applied Technology is a STEM class where students build and test projects. I have presented numerous technology PD sessions and produced the Parker Middle School Yearbook for six years. More information about Howell.
